Excellent service and helpful staff throughout my stay.
I found the room to be quite small, almost cramped. The noise from the wooden floorboards above was unbearable at times. the absence of lifts made carrying luggage difficult, especially up to the third floor.

The bed was quite uncomfortable, making it hard to get a good night's rest. The amenities left much to be desired—missing basic kitchenware in the rooms like glassware and cutlery, and no microwave. I even noticed some unfortunate issues like mould in the bathroom and a hole in the wall that just had toilet paper stuffed into it. The noise from the tram station was a constant hum throughout the night, and carrying bags up the stairs felt like a workout without an elevator in sight. while I appreciate the character of the place, there’s definitely room for improvement in upkeep.

Staying at Tolarno was quite a unique experience! The art throughout the hotel really brought a vibrant and eclectic atmosphere, which I loved. The location is perfect—easy walking distance to the beach and surrounded by lots of cafes and restaurants. The receptionist was outstanding. so friendly and helpful! My room, La Petite, had these funky colors and local artwork everywhere, which added character to the space. Unfortunately, the room itself felt quite basic. The air conditioning didn't work, and there was no soap in the bathroom—had to use shampoo for that! the noise levels were a bit high due to the tram station right outside. Having no elevators was another downside. carrying my bag upstairs was a workout. some maintenance is needed, especially in the bathroom.

i loved the location and the cleanliness, bed was super comfy and the room had everything we needed. the guy at the front desk (not sure on his name but he seemed like a kiwi) was the kindest and most polite person i’ve met at any place i’ve stayed, he made us smile every time he spoke to us, total gem. great vibe in the hotel, feels like an art space with character and charm.
the hot water system could be bigger for longer showers and it got a bit noisy on weekend nights from nearby clubs.

Recommend it for families
We loved staying in the two-bedroom suite it had a huge couch perfect for chilling together after a long day. The hotel truly feels like a family-run place bringing warmth with each visit.
It wasn't exactly budget-friendly but still acceptable considering the experience.

I stayed in the Double Room, La Petite, and honestly, the bed was super comfy! Loved the funky colors and local art everywhere—it really gives the place character. The kitchenette was a nice surprise. The only downside? There’s no elevator, which made hauling my suitcase upstairs a bit of a workout. But the vibe is cool, and it was quiet at night, so I can’t complain too much!
